Occupation: Sales/ Student/ Model/ Dancer/ SuperMom
Education: Degrees in Accounting and Computer Science (okay okay, I like math)
How did you get started on your current career track?
Modeling fell into my lap. I was walking through a mall when I was 7 and was approached by a store asking me to model their clothes! What gives you the most satisfaction in your work / as an artist? Being able to express myself. Being a dancer makes my modeling come to life. Through different poses and expressions, I am able to portray exactly how I am feeling or nail a particular position.
What motivates or inspires you in your work?
What motivates me is seeing the progress I’ve made and the difference in each shoot. I can see I’ve come so far from my first shoot and have learned so much along the way. I am inspired to do better and create more impactful images.
Just dance! Listen to music! When I am shooting, I love listening to different kinds of music to bring out different facial expressions and movements. It really helps the flow and fluidity of what you are trying to accomplish or bring out things that you didn’t know you had in the first place. You could be dancing around moving and really feeling the music and nail an amazing image that you didn’t even intend to.
If you weren’t doing this, what could you see yourself doing?
Well, I actually do a lot outside of modeling! I work full time as an inside sales rep at a supplement manufacturing company, I am a mother, I teach religious school on weekends and I dance for a local dance company. I have a lot on my plate but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What are you working on right now?
I have a lot of shoots in the works and some new publications as well! Whatever I find for inspiration I try to re-create and there are definitely some high fashion shoots in my future. Come keep up with me for all my latest photos!
I tend to go after guys with dark hair and light eyes, but overall, a nice smile/white teeth always catches me eye.
What gets you interested?
Intelligence, keep a conversation with me and I’m hooked. Preferably one that is interesting.
What keeps you interested?
Spontaneity, I can’t deal with the same regimen every day. I need some excitement and random trips here, there or anywhere! Keep things new and exciting and I will always be interested.
What’s your number one deal breaker?
It’s all in how people present themselves. You can automatically tell the way someone comes off before they even open their mouth. If you are rude, cocky and are acting like you are better than everyone else, then do not come and talk to me.
Confidence, intelligence, smile.
Cockiness, bad hygiene, poor grammar.
To stay in shape, what’s your basic diet look like?
I try (try being the key word here) to do low carb/no carb. When I really am in a time crunch to drop some weight, I cut out all carbs. I stick with egg whites and plenty of protein and veggies.
What sort of fitness plan, if any, do you follow?
I don’t have a specific workout routine because I don’t always have time. I love to dance so taking any and all dance classes helps keep me in shape!
You’ll just have to follow me to find out!
Favourite workout tip: Just do it. No excuses. Not tomorrow, today.
Favourite recipe: Oh boy, this is tough because I love all food! I love making thai chicken lettuce wraps! Mmmm.
iPhone or Android: For the longest time (4 years) I had a Blackberry and I absolutely loved it! But, reality set in and I realized I needed something bigger and better. I now have an iPhone.
What are you driving: 2010 Honda Civic. Stick of course. What’s the point of driving an automatic?
