Being a fan of internet fitness guru Vince Del Monte, it was hard to escape his excitement when he announced his upcoming marriage to his fiancee Flavia. The fitness world buzzed. But what was really cool about that whole episode was that we got to see Flavia come up as a new fitness guru in the process. Her workouts, while generally geared toward women, are tougher than most guys can handle, and her fitness tips and workout videos really are second to none. How did you get started on your current career track?

My husband is a fitness guru. After we started dating, I filmed a lot of workout with him to capture his female audience. Shorty after I started filming, many ladies asked me to start doing my own “female ONLY” workouts. That’s precisely what I did and I love seeing women’s lives transformed.

What gives you the most satisfaction as an artist?

Seeing women love their bodies, some for the first time in their lives. It changes many other aspects of persons life once they can love themselves.

What motivates or inspires you in your work?

Helping women say, “I love my body”.

Do you have a personal work philosophy?

Do everything with intention and to the best of my God given abilities

If you weren’t doing this, what could you see yourself doing?

Going back to paediatric nursing full-time. I absolutely LOVE kids and have a passion to help them.

What are you working on right now?

A Cookbook. My very first recipe and cookbook. I recently hired a personal chef to teach me how to cook some really healthy and natural meals from scratch…every ingredient from scratch. It has really opened my eyes to the world of eating the most amazing foods that make you look and feel great.

His build. Before anything else, a man physique will have me turning my head, or not.

What gets you interested?

A really sweet smile.

What keeps you interested?

Good values and undivided attention when I am with the person.

What’s your number one deal breaker (either on first meeting or in a relationship)?

Atheist and smoking.

Turn-ons:

A man who is motivated, Christian, takes care of his body, humour and well educated.

Turn-offs:

Smoker, rude tongue, pride, laziness and poor values.

To stay in shape, what’s your basic diet look like?

I eat a diet consisting of mostly whole, natural foods such as chicken, beef, eggs, sweet potatoes, brown rice and nuts. I eat protein and vegetables with every meal, protein and fats for breakfast to stabilise hormones, protein and carbs post workout. Eating foods that contain one ingredient is the best foods to consume.

What sort of fitness plan, if any, do you follow?

I do weight training 5 times per week and HIIT (high intensity interval training) 3 times per week. I train my abs before every weight training workout and make sure I take short rest periods to keep my heart rate high and thus, burn fat.

What’s next for you? What’s your next big idea or project?

Other than my cookbook, I am working on creating a short but intense workout system that helps you burn weight faster. I usually like the 8-12 week approach because it is the safest way to lose weight and keep at it but I know women want FAST weight loss so I will give it to them. I want to create a 6 week short but intense workout program…similar to what I use when I have a photo shoot or vacation.

One thing guys should know when talking to a beautiful woman: Smiling is very powerful.

Absolute WORST experience on set/shoot: 

When filming box jumps I slipped and crashed right into the side of the box. I had a HUGE bloody cut for the rest of my workout videos…that was on Day 1.

One quirky thing about you that never turns up in interviews:

I love to organize and clean. Makes me feel really good when things are in order. Usually I can’t sleep if I know something isn’t put away. I’ve had to ease up a little since getting married.
