Fans of MMA culture will recognize Jasmin Chase from her work on MMA Overdrive. This sports anchor has a knack for getting the story behind the story, and we were privileged enough to be able to turn the tables and get her in for an interview. As always, what we found was someone incredibly astute, career-focused, and in total command of path ahead. On top of all that, she’s just an all-around great personality, always ready with a joke and a laugh. You just can’t ask for a better combination than that!
Name: Jasmin Chase
Occupation: Sports Anchor, Producer, Writer and Model

How did you get started on your current career track?
I come from an artistic family so I have always been involved in the arts or sports so my transition into modeling/acting felt very natural for me. I officially started when I was 18. I answered an ad in the newspaper, they were looking for an arts model to photograph so they could use the pictures for their drawing class.
What gives you the most satisfaction as an artist?
Accomplishing the goals that I set.
What motivates or inspires you in your work?
Doing the impossible. Kicking down closed doors. Never taking no for an answer. Finding ways to make it happen.
Do you have a personal work philosophy?
If you dream it, it will come!
If you weren’t doing this, what could you see yourself doing?
This is what I love! I cannot picture what my life would be without this. If I had to pick though, I’d say designing video games and or computer networking .
What are you working on right now?
I am hosting a web show called MMA Overdrive, where I interview UFC/MMA fighters.
What do you first notice about a guy?
His physique then his smile and of course the eyes.
What gets you interested?
What keeps you interested?
His personality. We have to be able to have lots of laughs, common interests and good conversations.
What’s your number one deal breaker on a first meeting?
If we have no chemistry
Turn-ons: chivalrousness, success, ambition, open mindedness
Turn-offs: rudeness, cheapness , being obnoxious or stupid
To stay in shape, what’s your basic diet look like?
I try to eat really healthy everyday ( lots of veggies & protein with minimal carbs. Buuuut I allow myself a cheat day every weekend.
What sort of fitness plan, if any, do you follow?
Honestly, it’s soooo hard to stay on track and dedicated to a workout plan. So when I am going to the gym regularly , I am a cardio girl. I love to run and use the Stairmaster.
What’s next for you?
What’s your next big idea or project? I want to see MMA Overdrive get big so I’m going to push it hard and make it a success.
Favourite workout tip: The more intense your workout is the less time you have spend there.
Favourite recipe: I don’t really have one per se. I love to cook for other people and I’m a pretty good cook from what I’ve heard haha…oh but I am a terrible baker though.
iPhone or Android: iPhone…I don’t even know how I was able to function in life pre-iPhone days.
What are you driving: A flashy piece of crap that always gets pulled over and or breaks down.
One thing guys should know when talking to a beautiful woman: How about being real for once?! Enough of the lines and BS. Be yourself, be real, be respectful.
I’m a gamer and a computer nerd. I have a bazillion video games and almost every console you can imagine. I also loooove building computers from scratch and editing pictures and videos. Tee hee….
